동굴 전문가와 함께하는 이색적인 동굴 탐험으로, 거문오름용암동굴계의 대표 동굴인 김녕굴과 벵뒤굴을 체험하는 프로그램입니다. 칠흑 같은 어둠 속에서 일반인들에게 공개되지 않는 동굴의 깊은 곳을 경험하며, 세계자연유산의 비밀을 파헤쳐 보세요.

Join a unique cave exploration program with experts to experience Gimnyeonggul and Bengdwigul, the representative caves of the Geomunoreum Lava Tube System. Venture into the deep, unopened areas of these caves in pitch-black darkness and uncover the secrets of a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site.

사전예약을 통한 탐방객 동굴 탐험 프로그램으로, 전체 인솔투어로 진행되며, 김녕굴과 벵뒤굴 연계 탐방 프로그램입니다.

This is a pre-registration cave exploration program for visitors, conducted as a fully guided tour, linking Gimnyeonggul and Bengdwigul.

구간 소개 / Section Introduction

김녕굴 / Gimnyeonggul

김녕굴은 우리나라의 여러 천연동굴 가운데 만장굴과 더불어 제일 먼저 1962년 천연기념물로 지정되었으며, 구불구불한 동굴의 형태 때문에 오래전부터 사굴 혹은 뱀굴이라고 불리어왔다. 동굴 통로의 일부분은 2층으로 되어 있으며, 중간층이 무너져 단일 층으로 되어있는 부분도 있다.

Gimnyeonggul, alongside Manjanggul, was one of the first natural caves in Korea to be designated as a Natural Monument in 1962. Due to its winding shape, it has long been called 'Snake Cave' or 'Serpent Cave.' Parts of the cave passage are structured in two layers, with some middle sections collapsed into a single layer.

벵뒤굴 / Bengdwigul

‘벵뒤’는 순수한 제주어로 중산간 지역의 널따란 벌판을 뜻하는데, 화산섬 제주의 ‘벵뒤’는 광대한 용암 대지가 형성된 곳이 된다. 국내 최대의 미로형 동굴로, 동굴 바닥과 천장 사이가 전반적으로 낮아 낙반 지대가 나타나면 오리걸음 또는 기어서 들어가야 한다.

'Bengdwi' is a pure Jeju dialect term meaning a vast plain in the mid-mountain area. In Jeju, a volcanic island, 'Bengdwi' refers to an expansive lava plateau. As the largest maze-type cave in Korea, it generally has a low ceiling, requiring participants to duck or crawl through collapsed areas.

동굴 탐방복과 헬멧 등 안전장비가 준비되어 있으며, 출발 전 복장과 장비를 갖추고 그룹별 배정 버스로 이동할 예정입니다.

Cave exploration clothing, helmets, and other safety equipment are provided. Participants will be equipped with attire and gear before departure and will move to the assigned group bus.
